The IT giants Apple and Google dominate the market of the most popular email clients. Though research of Litmus Email Analytics, summarized by Statista, also found well-known competition including Microsoft´s Outlook, Mozilla’s Thunderbird, Samsung´s Mail, and Yahoo! Mail, the big slices of the cake have been taken by Apple and Google.
45% of the market is being held by three Apple applications, followed by Google, which is responsible for 28% with Gmail and Android. Outlook with their local client and cloud app counts for an 11% share.
